Quit Indian Sport!

#‎IndependenceDay‬, ‪#‎QuitIndianSport‬

Young ‪#‎DipaKarmakar‬, a hitherto non-entity from an obscure part of India; ‪#‎Lalita‬Babar from drought stricken Satara proved that 'impossible is nothing', despite a lack of infrastructure, lack of support and lack of funding

Imagine the number of young girls and boys across India that could actually "reform, perform and transform" (in our PM's words) this nation into a power house, if today we pledged to free them of the political and administrative triglycerides that choke the very lifeblood of the young nation aspiring for glory.

Let us today demand that sport in India comprise of sports persons, administrated by sports persons, for the greater glory of Indian sport; that everyone including the Sports Minister, Olympic Committees and members of Sports Federations tend their resignations taking responsibility for the humiliation brought upon India, by their parasitic behaviour, corruption and negligence.

Let us pledge that hereafter when we think of role models for our children, we shall proudly take the names of these young girls and boys from Tripura, Manipur and Satara -- not ‪#‎Jobs‬ or ‪#‎Gates‬, ‪#‎Narayanmurthy‬ or ‪#‎Nilekani‬ - who could be champions if we only gave them the support, infrastructure and funding that it required to survive in the stratosphere of world sport.

Let us pledge that hereafter we shall treat every girl as national treasure, capable of doing the impossible, against impossible odds.

Thank you #DipaKarmakar .. thank you #LalitaBabar for salvaging the country's reputation, despite the adversity you have had to endure... and most importantly, many apologies!
